Verdict
Dashel Drasher was the outsider of three when winning here in December but proved that was no fluke by following up in a handicap over track and trip four weeks ago, when he beat Bennys King a length-and-a-quarter. Dan Skelton’s charge also goes well here, however, and is 2lb better off today. Cyrname won the Charlie Hall over 3m at Wetherby in October but ran no sort of race in the King George next time and is now tried in cheekpieces. He is the class act if back on song but stablemate MASTER TOMMYTUCKER is also proving to be a very smart chaser when the fences don’t get in the way. His completion rate has been better this term and he had Riders Onthe Storm well beaten in a Grade 2 at Kempton last month, though he still had to survive a bad blunder at the last.

Master Tommytucker 2-1 (11-0) Raced keenly, made all, left in clear lead 2nd, reduced lead 10th, hit 11th, went clear again before 2 out, blundered badly last, kept on strongly, unchallenged, won at Kempton 2m 4f (1) gs in Jan beating Clondaw Castle (11-0) by 12l, 4 ran.
