The last two winners of this ultra-marathon are engaged again. Neither Who Dares Wins nor Cleonte can be dismissed over a trip that finds most of them out. Willie Mullins and Ryan Moore are a formidable partnership and STRATUM, the 2019 Cesarewitch winner, won't fail through lack of stamina and gets the nod over Dermot Weld's Falcon Eight. The latter won the Chester Cup in comfortable fashion from today's rival The Grand Visir and should be even better suited by this very different track while another from Ireland, Barbados, looks just the type for this stamina test. Morando, fourth in the Champions Long Distance Cup over 2m here, has his stamina to prove but Stag Horn could provide a threat as he beat The Grand Visir nine lengths over 2m2f on soft ground at Pontefract in October.
