Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won this three times in the last five years and POINT LONSDALE, a 575,000gns full-brother to Broome and a half-brother to five other winners, is likely to be a warm order after landing a Curragh maiden by over five lengths. It probably wasn't the best maiden ever seen there but he looks the one to beat. New Science was equally impressive at Yarmouth, where he had Reach For The Moon in second, while Masekela looks certain to be suited by the extra after staying on strongly over 6f at Goodwood. Great Max's victory at Newbury can be marked up as he was very green and overcame trouble in-running.
