Mark Johnston sent out last year’s winner and West End Charmer shrugged off a 10lb rise when making a winning reappearance at Newmarket with Good Birthday back in third. He’s penalised 4lb today while Durston is 12lb higher than when going close at Goodwood in August with Le Don De Vie behind. El Misk ended 2019 with a convincing win at Kempton and can figure while Dal Horrisgle is another returning from an absence and is preferred to stablemate Al Muffrih. Dubai Future was placed in a Group 3 contest at Meydan when last in action while Deja was a progressive handicapper last season and the reserve Hereby has a shout if lining-up. But the less exposed MEDAL WINNER scored at Newcastle in good style on his handicap debut earlier this month and there looks plenty more to come from Archie Watson’s charge as he steps up in distance.
