Watersmeet returned to winning ways with a defeat of Dashing Star at Newmarket but the latter is partnered by Ryan Moore today. The former had earlier finished behind ASTRONEREUS at the same track when Amanda Perrett's colt beat a subsequent winner with Arab Dawn and Kelinni further back. There looks more to come from him and he is preferred to Ajman Bridge. Luca Cumani's charge ran well in this grade at York last month when third to Notarised and could run a big race but Sennockian Star and Forgotten Hero step up in trip after scoring at Chester and Newmarket respectively. Gold Trail found subsequent Chester Cup winner Trip To Paris too good at Lingfield in April while Famous Kid and Mymatechris were both tailed off in the Chester Cup when last seen at the track. Warrior Of Light and Igider step up in class but the latter has plenty of scope for further progress and could be thereabouts.
