The 1000 Guineas form is usually a good pointer for this contest and LUCIDA (NAP) found only Legatissimo too good in the Newmarket version last month. She was a long way ahead of Irish Rookie and Local Time and Jim Bolger's filly can gain compensation by landing this prize. Irish Rookie went on to post a tremendous effort when runner-up in the French Guineas just behind Ervedya. That gives Jean-Claude Rouget's filly leading claims while Found went close in the Irish 1000 Guineas and is closely matched with the selection on last year's running at the Curragh. The diminutive Arabian Queen made an impressive winning reappearance in a Group 3 at Epsom and is preferred to the American raider Miss Temple City while Sperry just got the better of Yasmeen in the Listed Michael Seely at York - though the latter quartet all have some catching up to do to get involved at this level.
