Maramba would be a danger to all if getting this mile trip on her first try, however JAZZ JAM is proven over this trip and gets the nod over Makaaseb and Illusion. Although not likely to be towards the head of the betting, Paul Cole's Pivotal filly should be given a chance to atone for her average run last time at Goodwood behind Michita. She didn't seem to stay the longer trip on that day and now back over a mile she should run a better race, having proven herself on quick ground in the past. Cruel Sea was poor at York last time in the Musidora but is better than that, whilst Makaaseb leads the Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum triumvirate and first-time cheek-pieces catch the eye and may bring about some improvement. Festivale seems to be improving with every start this season, and further progress would see her firmly in the mix, Illusion is better than she ran on her handicap debut and is unlikely to have been rushed by her master trainer, whilst Comeback Queen needs to live up to her name again. Not the easiest way to end the day but Jazz Jam may be overlooked by some and we will give her our vote of confidence.
