Roger Charlton's Marlinka showed improved form when successful at Ffos Las last month and she has every chance judged by that effort but it is hard to get away from MAQAASID, who made a promising debut at Sandown and she can follow up her success there with the main danger rated as Moonlit Garden. Dermot Weld's filly won with plenty in hand on her debut at the Curragh over six furlongs on her debut and the speedily-bred daughter of Exceed And Excel should not be inconvenienced by the drop to the minimum trip today. Another Irish raider, David Wachman's Meow, improved from a promising debut second at Dundalk when successful at Tipperary recently and she has to be considered along with Gay Kelleway's Primo Lady, who showed plenty of speed when successful at York last time. David Elsworth's Swiss Dream looks to be going the right way having won well at Newmarket last month but John Gosden's Maqaasid really took the eye when making a winning debut at Sandown, leading inside the final furlong after being slowly away, and she can win again.
