David Marnane's Dandy Boy is bound to be popular with backers following his success in the Victoria Cup here last month when having several of these behind him including Marajaa, Noble Citizen and Huzzah. But he has yet to prove that he stays a mile and preference is for ACROSTIC. Luca Cumani's gelding is relatively lightly raced after just 11 starts and the five-year-old comes into this after a promising reappearance when fourth behind Ed Dunlop's Fareer at York last month and he can reverse that form on 5lb better terms for just over three lengths. Jeremy Noseda's Forgotten Voice makes his first start in the UK this term but looks best watched after some below-par efforts at Meydan, while Lovelace has shown something like his old form for David Nicholls this term but was well held at Haydock last time. Chris Dwyer's Mia's Boy is a consistent performer but usually finds at least one too good and of more interest may be John Hammond's Tryst, who won well last time and has gone well here before. Saeed Bin Suroor's Invisible Man seems a shade high in the weights at present, while Jeremy Glover's Docofthebay has struggled in recent starts. Tiger Reigns won well enough at Ripon last time and has to be considered representing the in-form Michael Dods but a 5lb rise makes this tougher and of more interest may be Andrew Balding's Riggins, who made a decent return when a close third at Newmarket last month. There are several others of these with claims including Tom Tate's consistent Balcarce Nov and Hugh Morrison's dual course winner Supaseus, who makes his reappearance, but it is Acrostic who gets the vote to resume winning ways.
