Nurseries at this stage in the season are often difficult affairs but Scotch N' Dry won well in similar company at Salisbury last month and is taken to follow up at the main expense of King Carnival and Tranquil Sky. The selection had shown decent form in all three starts in maiden company prior to that Salisbury success for which a 9lb rise looks fair and he looks a safer option than the top weight King Carnival. Richard Hannon's runners in this grade always warrant respect and the Haydock maiden winner should not be dismissed lightly. Tranquil Sky opened his account at Goodwood last month and the form of that race received a timely boost when runner-up Psychiatrist filled the same spot in a Newmarket maiden on Wednesday. The booking of Frankie Dettori takes the eye for Charlie Egerton's Point Calimere, while Cartronageeraghlad won with plenty in hand on the all-weather at Southwell last time and could have been let in lightly with just 8st 4lb. However, Scotch N' Dry sets a fair standard and gets the vote.
