Verdict

Boy In The Bar was due to run in the last here yesterday so his participation may be in doubt. Normandy Barriere has been frustrating to follow but did come up against an in-form rival at Doncaster last month and is a past course and distance winner. REBEL STREAK is an improving three-year-old and still looks a step ahead of the handicapper. With Jason Watson’s claim helping reduce a further 7lb rise, Andrew Balding’s charge can complete the hat-trick. Kimifive doesn’t know how to run a bad race and will likely be in the firing-line again but keeps edging up the weights without winning. Green Power won a Shergar Cup race here last month but that form can probably be taken with a pinch of salt. Solar Flair is back in form, however, and respected while Fille De Reve got back to winning ways on her first try over this trip at Haydock. Last year’s winner Ice Lord is only 4lb higher and beat a small field at Newmarket last month and Polybius continues to slide down the weights and will probably take advantage in the near future.
