    Verdict

ENABLE makes a belated reappearance having won five consecutive Group 1 races last year, culminating with an impressive victory in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. John Gosden’s brilliant filly may prove even better this season and is receiving weight from her only serious rival Crystal Ocean. The latter is penalised for winning the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes at Ascot in June, though Sir Michael Stoute’s progressive colt ran even better at the latter track subsequently when beaten only a neck by stablemate Poet’s Word in the King George. The front-running Weekender should ensure a decent pace for his stable companion and has plenty in hand with both Cribbs Causeway and Peak Princess on these terms.
