Mark Johnston may have the nap hand here with three solid options and from the trio the pin falls on SABOTAGE. The selection was never able to hold a desirable pitch at Goodwood last time but is far better rated on his good third here to Munsef earlier in July. A strong stayer, his jockey will need to sit close to the pace but if he can then this progressive son of Halling may get back to winning ways. Alanbrooke is the likely pace angle to the race; he has improved markedly for the application of blinkers and he can be forgiven his latest blip. His beating of Sweetheart looks like excellent form, as does Quai D'Orsay's win at Haydock however he has struggled since; the drop in trip is a bonus. Barwell Bridge is better than his run at Goodwood last time, Polly's Mark is progressing well but her handicap mark is rising as a result, whilst Chiberta King finished one place ahead of the selection last time and is a player. Braveheart Move disappointed in that Classic Vintage race but had previously looked progressive, Mabuya is ultra-consistent, whilst Holyrood has stamina to prove and goes without the visor sported last time. A terrific three-year-old handicap, where we tentatively side with Sabotage.
