Philip Hobbs saddles a rare runner on the flat here in Nampour, who ran well enough when last seen on the level but he has been out of form over hurdles of late and looks best left out of calculations in a race taken to go to LOMBOK, who gets the vote over Ermyn Lodge. The last mentioned was good value for his win at Kempton last month when justifying short odds in beating Gaselee and he has every chance back on turf off a 4lb higher mark but he may be better on the Polytrack. Brian Meehan's Aaim To Prosper won well enough on his final start of last term when narrowly getting the better of Hawridge King and a 2lb rise for that is fair so he has to be considered on his reappearance. Bow To No One was well held on his return at Epsom last month and of more interest may be Theola, who stayed on strongly having been held up to win his last two starts of last season and he has to be considered with Mark Tompkins among the winners of late despite a 6lb rise for the latest of those successes. Recent Newbury winner Satwa Gold and Sweetheart, who finished fourth behind him at the Berkshire venue are others to consider but preference is for Lombok. Michael Bell's lightly raced colt won well when stepped up to 1m6f at Nottingham when last seen in July and, with improvement to come, he may be worth chancing off a 7lb higher mark.
