Mokaatil never figured at Ripon three weeks ago. He’s now tried in cheekpieces but is probably best over 5f while One Night Stand has finished last in both starts since winning at Nottingham in June. FORTAMOUR (NAP) won this last year off a 4lb higher mark and got his head back in front at Ripon last month. He’s receiving weight all round and a repeat looks to be on the cards, though Lexington Dash shouldn’t be far away and only a length separated Royal Scimitar and Popmaster in a Shergar Cup race here four weeks ago when both missed the break. First Edition runs at York tomorrow.
