In depth

Verdict

A tremendous handicap with many looking capable of taking higher rank in future. FULGUR appeared below par at Goodwood in a similar contest but should appreciate the return to a less undulating, turning track. He'll go close if back to the form that saw him account for the strongly-touted Mijhaar at the Newmarket July meeting and could be better than he has shown to date. Parlour Games is the key improver, having followed up a C&D victory with a really gritty display to land the always competitive Melrose at the Ebor meeting. He cannot be overlooked whilst in such good heart despite his latest handicap hike. Spifer hasn't been seen since looking all over the winner at the Newmarket July meeting and the stable companion of Fulgur looks a potential improver well worth keeping on your side. Seelo looks best of the Gosden trio and wouldn't have to improve much on efforts behind Fulgur and Parlour Games to get involved on today's revised terms.
