      Verdict

      Lord Marmaduke is related to winners over a mile and at 1m4f so this may prove his optimum distance. However, he'll need a decent performance on debut to get the better of COUNTERMEASURE. A pacemaker for stablemate Time Test in both the Coral-Eclipse and York Stakes, he kept on well once headed in both and deserves a victory of his own. Henry The Explorer has improved recently for the step up in trip but is only rated 70 against the selection's 112.
