Prof De L'Isle may hold the answer to this tricky puzzle but be wary of Public Esteem. Probably best to tread carefully here as there are any number of potential improvers for the switch to handicap company and step up in trip lurking in the ranks. Marufo went into our notebook following his penultimate start but he's just one of several that look capable of stepping up on their bare form. Prof De L'Isle is one such individual but he's preferred as he took another step in the right direction when staying on well to chase home Galient at Ludlow last time. He was no match for the winner and the proximity of a modest sort in third casts a shadow over the form but he appears to have the potential to take another step forwards. Public Esteem has been well beaten in three runs over hurdles but Christian Williams has a decent strike rate for a yard which places its horses well; the market can guide. Ian Williams' string is flying at present and both of his runners can be given a chance on the book so have to be on the short-list; marginal preference is for Avoine. Sharkey's Dream has his first run for a new yard and is another to watch with interest whilst Cee Cee Rider and Wizards Dust are other names to throw into the hat. An open race, with Prof De L'Isle a hopeful choice.
