In depth

Verdict

Sir Ivan won a veterans’ chase at Newbury in March but that was his first victory over the larger obstacles since 2017. Minellacelebration is a specialist on the Mildmay course here but is on a high enough mark at present. Another 11-year-old, Potters Legend, landed the odds in a small field at Fakenham last time but Quarenta never threatened when third at Kempton. GO ANOTHER ONE was third in a Cork Grade 3 after finishing down the field in the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir at Cheltenham. He’s not badly handicapped at present and the drying ground could also aid his cause. Mance Rayder is in the form of his life so can’t be ignored despite a further step in grade and a penalty while Versatility had every chance when falling at the last at Kempton. Johnbb was an excellent second over track and trip last month and also enters calculations.
