In depth

Verdict

Hollywoodien struggles to find a change of gear nowadays and today’s going looks much too quick for Tom Symonds’ grey. Mr Whipped has plenty to prove having been pulled up on his first start for new connections while this is a new trip for Isaac Wonder, though he’s placed twice since undergoing a wind operation. Ballywood is another best over 2m though he did win over 2m2f at Taunton at the beginning of his chase career. Empire De Maulde, on the other hand, needs further. CAPTAIN TOM CAT (NAP) had a brief career between the flags before going hurdling. He won three times on good ground last season and looks just type to take advantage of a potentially-lenient mark over fences.
