An open renewal where narrow preference is for BERGO ahead of Bedlam Boy, Osana and Tataniano. Gary Moore's runner bypassed Cheltenham and that may pay dividends as he looks for compensation as a fresh horse here today. He jumps well, has no problem with the ground and looks up to defying this better grade. French Opera ran a blinder when second to Pigeon Island at Cheltenham and has run fairly well here before over hurdles, Green Belt Elite is progressing well and deserves this step up in grade, whilst Bedlam Boy has always been highly-thought-of and is another who missed Cheltenham with a view to winning here instead. Archie Boy should be spot on after a recent pipe-opener over hurdles, Joe Jo Star has some solid runs over fences to his name bar falling last time, whilst Noble Alan impressed with his jumping at Ayr last time and will relish this ground. Osana ran a cracker to be third to Sizing Europe in the Arkle but had a hard race there so is passed over, along with Tataniano who was embarrassed by Suntini at Newbury when last seen but rates an obvious player on his previous form over fences. See You Bob's run behind Citizen Vic looks solid form, as does his beating of Kempes, and he is not passed over lightly, however we are happy to side with the progressive Bergo.
