Philip Hobbs had three entered up but relies on One Cool Scorpion, who only just scraped home in a Newton Abbot bumper in June but should be much better over hurdles. Flying Angel won easily on his hurdling debut at Worcester and could be anything, though now has a penalty to overcome. DEFINITE OUTCOME only weakened approaching the last in the Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow on his introduction to hurdles. With that experience under his belt, he should be ready to open his account and is much preferred to Just Georgie and Echo Springs.
