Hunters Call won a Gowran bumper in June before running well in a much better race at Galway. He should make a hurdler but will do well to beat either Powder Hound or MACBRIDE on his hurdling debut. The former won a tough handicap at Chester for Andrew Balding and was expected to do well over hurdles but couldn't manage a victory in three starts and was beaten when long odds-on at Kilbeggan in July. He will do better this campaign but Aidan O'Brien's charge can have his measure. He completed a hat trick of bumper victories in the summer of last year and though not jumping fluently on his hurdling debut in January he'll have been given plenty of schooling and looks a scopey type.
