Verdict

It could be the Nicholls show again in this finale as Mcfabulous has won two of his three starts, though was behind Master Debonair in a Listed race at Cheltenham in November and will undoubtedly do better when tackling hurdles. The latter ran in the Champion Bumper last month but was too keen and weakened on the turn for home. There are several interesting runners from Ireland including recent four-year-old winners Dewcup and Blackhillsofdakota but it must be significant that Dermot McLoughlin pitches SANTA ROSSA in against the boys after she won a Grade 2 mares’ bumper at Leopardstown in February, despite running green. Adjourned looked a promising sort when winning for James Bethell in the autumn but he hasn’t raced since and has changed stables. Malystic may be best of the rest ahead of Ebony Jewel and Hazm.
