Star De Mohaison could be interesting if taking part after his misdemeanour on Thursday however a safer bet may be ISLAND FLYER ahead of Don't Push It and the progressive Peter Pole. Tom George's gelding looks to have ideal conditions here and he is taken to get back on the winning trail. After a promising reappearance run in the Badger Ales when touched off by Cornish Sett, he was then disappointing in the Hennessey but that trip will have been stretching him and this easier track and a slight drop in trip will suit him, as will the ground. The presence of Star De Mohaison means that a lot of the field are racing from out of the weights; of those runners, Peter Pole and Daldini are of most interest. The former is a French recruit who has yet to be extended in two UK starts and is now faced with a 15lb rise in the weights, whilst the latter is a progressive gelding but this trip may be a bridge too far. Turko hasn't looked a shadow of his former self, Tot O' Whiskey finished in midfield in the William Hill Trophy at Cheltenham and may prefer this course, whilst Three Mirrors doesn't look badly treated and is not one to take lightly. Maljimar ran a tremendous race at Prestbury Park where he just failed to get home up the hill and he must be of interest on this track and in this race having not got into the Grand National. The game Amigayle is not one to take lightly as she loves a good battle, whilst if Don't Push It has improved his jumping technique after a spell over hurdles he should run well. An interesting race but it is Island Flyer who can lead them home.
