Wycombe Wanderers needed a penalty shootout for the second round running as they saw off Forest Green Rovers following a 2-2 draw to reach the Carabao Cup third round.
Wycombe broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the second half when Adebayo Akinfenwa's through-ball put Scott Kashket in the clear and the striker finished confidently.
The hosts' lead lasted just under two minutes, however, as Carl Winchester's pass down the right caught the Chairboys defence napping and allowed Dayle Grubb to score past a stranded Ryan Allsop.
The Chairboys went ahead again when Anthony Stewart was able to smash in the rebound after Sam Saunders' effort had come back off the inside of the post.
But the visitors equalised again with four minutes left when Winchester bundled in Joseph Mills' low free-kick to force the shootout.
After Christian Doidge's effort was kept out, James Montgomery gave Paul Digby the chance to level by denying Sam Saunders, but the defender's kick was beaten away by Allsop to send Wycombe through.
