A first-half brace from Steve Jones sent Walsall on their way to a 3-0 win over Exeter City.
Double from Jones and a Deeney strike condemn Exeter
Steve Jones scored twice as Walsall cantered to a 3-0 victory over 10-man Exeter at the Banks's Stadium.
The Grecians started brightly, but rarely looked like recovering after falling behind to Jones' 29th-minute opener.
And their hopes of taking anything from the game were shattered with 23 minutes remaining when Richard Duffy was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
Darren Byfield set up the opener for Jones before home goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin limped off with a pulled muscle.
Walsall increased their lead in first-half stoppage-time, Jones running clear through the middle before hammering a powerful shot past Andy Marriott.
Duffy's exit killed off any hopes of an Exeter comeback and Troy Deeney added a third for Walsall with a fine run and shot in the 70th minute.
