Cenk Tosun is set for his Everton debut against Tottenham, who have an opportunity to put pressure fourth-placed Liverpool, in the late kick-off at Wembley on Saturday.

Spurs are just three points off the Champions League spots and will take confidence from their impressive 3-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park earlier in the season.

However, Everton were managed by Ronald Koeman for that fixture and things have since improved under the guidance of Sam Allardyce, with the Toffees putting together an unbeaten run in his first seven games in charge.

Just 29.6 per cent of Everton's Premier League points this season have come away from home (8/27), the lowest ratio in the division.

    Team news

Tottenham will be without midfielder Harry Winks against Everton. The midfielder had an injection on his troublesome ankle on Monday, but is not available this weekend.

Meanwhile, Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose are also out as they continue to recover from hamstring and knee injuries respectively.

Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy insists that no Spurs players will be sold before their new stadium is finished

New Everton signing Cenk Tosun is set for his debut at Wembley. The Turkey international signed a week ago from Besiktas and Allardyce confirmed he would be in the squad.

Defender Michael Keane is still sidelined due to a gash to his foot which has reopened an old wound and is taking longer than expected to heal, while midfielder Idrissa Gueye (hamstring) is also out.

    Opta stats

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League games against Everton (W5 D5), their longest such run against them since a run of 13 between 1997 and 2003.

Everton haven't won away in the league at Spurs since November 2008 (1-0), drawing three and losing five since then.

Everton boss Sam Allarydce has confirmed talks are underway with Arsenal over the signing of Theo Walcott and says it would be a great addition to the squad

The Toffees' last three visits to Wembley Stadium have ended in 1-2 defeats - against Chelsea in the 2009 FA Cup final, Liverpool in the 2012 FA Cup semi-final and Manchester United in the 2016 FA Cup semi-final.

Everton have won only one of their last 43 Premier League away games against one of the 'big six' (1-0 at Man Utd in December 2013) - drawing 15 and losing 27.

Harry Kane is also just one goal away from equalling Teddy Sheringham (97) as Tottenham's highest scorer in the Premier League.

    Merson's prediction

Spurs struggled at home to West Ham and it took them a while to break down AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup. But I think they will have too much for an Everton side who are going to sit back and play tight. It has worked for them in the past, but they don't have enough pace on the counter to hurt Tottenham.
