Salford 2-2 Harrogate
Saturday 27 April 2024 18:40, UK
Salford and Harrogate shared the points courtesy of four first-half goals as an entertaining 2-2 draw at The Peninsula Stadium brought their respective seasons to an end.
Salford were ahead as early as the fifth minute when Callum Hendry rose highest to meet Luke Garbutt's corner and head the ball into the net.
The visitors were level with their first real effort in the 27th minute as Abraham Odoh calmly slotted the ball past Alex Cairns in the City goal from 18 yards out.
Their joy was short-lived however, as a spectacular volley from the edge of the box by Ryan Watson restored the Ammies' lead just six minutes later.
But Town rallied once more in first-half injury time when Matty Foulds diverted the ball home with a neat flick following a George Thomson corner to make it 2-2.
