Rangers 2-3 Hibernian: Hibs end 114-year wait for Scottish Cup glory
Sunday 22 May 2016 01:32, UK
Hibernian staged a miraculous comeback to win their first Scottish Cup since 1902 as they beat Rangers 3-2 at Hampden Park on Saturday.
Hibs were 2-1 down with 10 minutes left after goals from Kenny Miller and Andy Halliday for the Gers, who had conceded early on through Anthony Stokes' opener.
However, Stokes grabbed his second before David Gray sent the Hibs supporters into raptures with a dramatic winning goal two minutes into stoppage time.
Unfortunately, the exuberance of some fans spilled over at full-time as they invaded the pitch and police horses were called for, with Rangers players needing medical attention after being 'assaulted'.
Hibs started brightly and Stokes, on loan from Celtic, opened the scoring on two minutes.

The striker dribbled his way into the box down the left before curling an effort into the bottom corner.
Rangers started to get their game going and Miller beat Leith defender Darren McGregor to a James Tavernier cross to bullet a header past Conrad Logan on 27 minutes.
Moments later, with the Gers fans still celebrating, Stokes took a McGinn pass and drove a 25-yards shot off the inside of the post with the ball rebounding wide.
But Rangers had shrugged off earlier nerves and in the 32nd minute Miller's header from a Barrie McKay corner cannoned off the crossbar.
Wes Foderingham denied Stokes with a fine save just before half-time and then the striker headed wide from Gray's cross.
The Republic of Ireland forward drew another good save from Foderingham with a powerful drive from 25 yards in the 50th minute but the Govan men survived the corner.
However, it had turned into a more even contest but in turned in favour of the Championship winners in the 64th minute when, from 22 yards out, Halliday arrowed a shot past Logan.
Hibs looked demoralised as Rangers took control but there was another twist on its way.
Stokes blazed a shot over the bar in the 76th minute but three minutes later he was more accurate when he escaped the attention of Tavernier to head in a corner from substitute Liam Henderson.
Foderingham denied Stokes again in stoppage time but from the corner Gray rose highest to send the Hibs end into absolute delirium.
The end to Hib's hoodoo mean they became the first lower league club to win the trophy since East Fife in 1938.
