Portsmouth 1-1 Bristol Rovers: Jonson Clarke-Harris scores one penalty but misses another
Tuesday 19 February 2019 22:03, UK
Jonson Clarke-Harris scored one penalty and missed another as Bristol Rovers held promotion-chasing Portsmouth to a 1-1 draw at Fratton Park.
Clarke-Harris opened the scoring eight minutes before half-time after going down in the box under Tom Naylor's challenge.
Pompey hit back in the 58th minute when defender James Clarke headed a Ronan Curtis cross into his own net.
Rovers should have won it moments later after being awarded another penalty when Jamal Lowe tripped Clarke.
But this time Clarke-Harris stepped up and blazed high over the crossbar from 12 yards.

Pompey were bidding for a first win in seven matches but Rovers were the better team in the first half and almost took the lead in the seventh minute.
Alex Jakubiak's low drive was spilt by Craig MacGillivray and Matt Clarke managed to spare his goalkeeper's blushes by hooking away the loose ball before Clarke-Harris could pounce.
Both sides pushed for a winner late on but home substitute Viv Solomon-Otabor's sliced shot over after a mazy run was as close as either came to finding one.
