Oxford United 1-2 Bristol Rovers: Ellis Harrison fires Pirates to victory
Sunday 17 January 2016 18:36, UK
Substitute Ellis Harrison converted an 88th-minute penalty to earn Bristol Rovers a 2-1 victory at Sky Bet League Two promotion rivals Oxford United on Sunday.
Harrison drove his spot-kick straight down the middle after goalkeeper Sam Slocombe had brought down substitute Jermaine Easter.
In-form strikers Kemar Roofe and Matty Taylor had already found the net at the Kassam Stadium.
Roofe stabbed home John Lundstram's cross from just four yards out to put the U's ahead at the beginning of the second half.
It was Roofe's 18th goal of the season and his sixth goal in his last four games.

But former Oxford striker Taylor headed in a superb right-wing cross from Dan Leadbitter to equalise on 52 minutes.
A brilliant one-handed save from keeper Steve Mildenhall was needed to keep out Lundstram's 20-yard shot, before the late penalty drama swung it the Pirates' way in front of 2,500 travelling fans.
In the first half Rovers twice threatened from set-pieces.
Defender Tom Lockyer directed a header straight at Slocombe from one, and moments later James Clarke nodded over from two yards when a corner kick was flicked on at the near post.
