January signing Marcus Browne scored one and made another as Oxford fought back to beat Blackpool 2-1 and give their League One promotion hopes a boost.
The Tangerines' dismal run now stands at just two points from their last eight games.
The visitors started promisingly, taking the lead on 10 minutes when Gary Madine capitalised with a cool low finish from 15 yards after the ball ricocheted off Liam Feeney.
The U's took just eight minutes to level as Rob Dickie chested down following Sam Long's right-wing cross and Browne's first-time shot deflected in off Mark Sykes.
And the dangerous Browne then produced a classy angled finish five minutes before half-time when the ball reached him beyond the far post from Long's deep free-kick.
Blackpool's Ben Heneghan saw his header at a corner cleared off the line by James Henry.
But Browne went close to extending Oxford's lead, keeper Chris Maxwell saving well with his legs.
Madine should have equalised in stoppage time from Josh Ruffels' weak back pass, but with just Simon Eastwood to beat, he shot against the post.
