Highlights of Northampton's 2-1 win over Stevenage.

Substitute Alfie Potter grabbed the winner as Northampton came from behind to beat Stevenage 2-1.

Cobblers overcame the early loss of Shaun Brisley through injury to apply the pressure, forcing eight corners in quick succession, but Stevenage held firm.

Despite Northampton's early pressure neither keeper was seriously troubled in the opening stages.

But it was Stevenage who broke the deadlock in the 24th minute when Steven Schumacher created the opening to beat Adam Smith with a great strike into the top corner.

Boosted by the breakthrough, Stevenage went close through Schumacher's header moments later while Armand Gnanduillet had a goalbound effort blocked, as did Tom Pett.

In between, Sam Hoskins saw his low drive saved by Jesse Joronen.

But Chris Whelpdale should have doubled Stevenage's advantage when he blazed over from close range.

Marc Richards went close for Cobblers while Tom Conlon was denied by Smith and Fraser Franks was off target just before the break.

Cobblers equalised in the 49th minute when Hoskins set up Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who made no mistake from six yards.

The on-loan Sheffield United striker went close to grabbing a second goal moments later but he was off target, as was John-Joe O'Toole.

But Cobblers went in front in the 62nd minute when Stevenage failed to clear and Potter was on hand to score.

Richards was thwarted by Joronen and Zander Diamond headed wide from a corner while in between Franks' shot wide.
