Arsene Wenger says the public show of support by Arsenal fans gives him the desire to win more trophies at the club.
Thousands of supporters lined the streets of Islington on Sunday as the Gunners paraded the FA Cup trophy they won by beating Aston Villa 4-0 at Wembley on Saturday.
Arsenal have won the FA Cup a record 12 times - Wenger himself has six titles – and the manager believes the season has been one of progress, with the club finishing a place higher in the Premier League.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, Wenger said of the parade: “It just makes you realise the size of this club.
“It is not the ideal day for celebrations with the rain today but it absolutely didn’t stop anybody from going outside.
“They all came out to show how much they love the club and it’s great, it gives you more hunger and enthusiasm to achieve more when you realise how much people love this club.
“We have the appetite. In England the competition is very tough and we have again made progress this season.
“Since January we have made more points than any other team and we want to continue after a good rest and a good summer.”
