Pochettino: Tottenham going through tricky time
Sunday 12 April 2015 09:41, UK
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino admitted his side are going through a difficult period following their shock 1-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa.
Christian Benteke scored the only goal of the game at White Hart Lane as Tottenham failed to net for the second game in a row - following a goalless draw at Burnley last week.
"We are in a very tough moment," admitted Pochettino. "We're finding it difficult to score and play well.
"We put ourselves in a problem (against Villa). I think we managed the game well but we gave them the opportunity in the first half and the first chance they had they scored. We tried (to get back into it) but it wasn't enough."
Five of Tottenham's last six Premier League goals have come from Harry Kane, and Pochettino admitted to concerns that when his striker is not firing, his team struggle to produce goals from other areas.

He said: "We need the whole team to contribute and score goals. But this is difficult and we can see the whole season that maybe we have problems in this area."
The Argentine boss also conceded that, being seven points behind Manchester City in fourth with six games to go, Champions League qualification is unlikely.
"Realistically it will be very difficult," he said.
