Scott Dann says Crystal Palace's next target is to beat their points total from last season after a fine 2-1 win over Manchester City on Monday Night Football.
Goals from Glenn Murray and Jason Puncheon either side of half-time gave the Eagles the win, with Yaya Toure halving the deficit late on.
The result leaves Palace 11th in the Premier League on 39 points, six points away from equalling their 2013/14 total of 45 points with seven games remaining.
Asked if Palace were now clear of relegation, Dann told Sky Sports: "We've got seven games left and we want to see how far we go in the league and try to beat the points total we got last season.
"When you play against the top teams like that you need a bit of everything, we were oustanding today and deserved the three points."
Goalscorer Murray now has five goals in five games, and the Palace striker is relieved after a knee-injury nightmare.
He said: "It is a good night for the club. I'm obviously enjoying it, it took a long time to get over my knee.
"I've worked hard to get back to this position, I'm enjoying it now. But like Scott says we are that type of group who will keep pushing every game."
