Manuel Pellegrini: Manchester City to benefit from international break
Sunday 9 November 2014 12:12, UK
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini admits he is grateful for the international break with his side having claimed just one win in their last six games.
The Premier League champions had to thank Sergio Aguero for rescuing a point in a 2-2 draw at QPR – a result which leaves City trailing leaders Chelsea by eight points.
"This team demonstrated that we are fighting," Pellegrini said. "That we are not lacking trust or energy. We are in a very unlucky moment.
