Southampton boss Ronald Koeman believes Ryan Bertrand is benefiting from playing regular first-team football again.
The on-loan Chelsea defender was on target as the Saints beat QPR 2-1 at St Mary’s on Saturday.
The south coast club are second in the Premier League table and Koeman says the 25-year-old is maturing as he plays more and more games.
The Dutchman said: "If you are a Chelsea player, that means you have good quality but he missed playing regular games.
"I like him as a player because he's an offensive left full-back.
"He has shown his qualities from the first day but I expected this kind of quality.
"All he needed was to play every weekend and now he's doing that it makes him stronger and more confident."
