Premier League: Marvin Emnes hopes to feature for Swansea against Southampton
Tuesday 16 September 2014 14:50, UK
Marvin Emnes would love to be part of Swansea’s squad to take on Southampton on Saturday after bouncing back from injury.
The former Middlesbrough man turned his previous loan spells at the Swans into a permanent move in the summer but suffered a knee injury before competitive action could get underway.
The 26-year-old returned to action for the club’s development squad on Monday in their 2-1 defeat to Cardiff and he is now hoping to play some part against the Saints as Garry Monk’s side look to build on a positive start to the campaign.
Emnes told the South West Evening Post: “I was looking forward to playing games again and I now have that chance.
"In pre-season I was playing well and having good training sessions, and I felt really sharp. To pick up an injury was very difficult but it's great to be back now.
