Capital One Cup: Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray relishing Manchester City test
Thursday 28 August 2014 14:00, UK
Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray said his players face "a great test" after being drawn to play at Premier League champions Manchester City in the Capital One Cup.
The Owls booked their place in the third round by beating Premier League newcomers Burnley at Turf Moor in midweek and Gray believes the trip to the Etihad Stadium will be one for the fans to cherish.
"I would have liked a home game like any manager does in cup competition but if you are drawn away, it doesn't get much better than a trip to Manchester City," Gray told the club's official website.
"It will be a great test for the players against the current Premier League champions and League Cup holders.
"It's an exciting tie for our supporters too, who follow us all over the country in such terrific numbers."

Wednesday have made an impressive start to the season with Tuesday night's upset at Burnley on the back of an unbeaten start to their Sky Bet Championship campaign, but Gray is keeping his players grounded.
"For now that (City) game is on the back burner because our bread and butter is the Championship," he added.
"We've made an excellent start to the season but have achieved nothing yet.
"We have to maintain this level week in, week out and all I am focusing on is the next game, which is Nottingham Forest on Saturday."
