Craig McAllister opened the scoring for the visitors in slightly fortuitous fashion in the 27th minute.
The striker was fouled by Magnus Okuonghae but saw his penalty parried by Tony Roberts, before converting the rebound.
Ben Strevens drew the Daggers level on the stroke of half-time, but McAllister (47) had the final say with a crisp half-volley.
