Aldershot seal 3-0 Don Valley win

Rotherham could not repeat their sensational Carling Cup form as they crashed out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle for the eighth successive season as they lost to Aldershot 3-0. On-loan striker Richie Barker twice went close in the opening stages and Alex Rhodes had a shot saved as Rotherham began brightly but Aldershot took a shock 15th-minute through Kirk Hudson. Millers skipper Pablo Mills gave the ball away Kirk Hudson who then embarked on a mazy run to the edge of the area before unleashing a powerful shot past debutant goalkeeper Steve Cann. And the Shots could have increased their lead two minutes later when Marvin Morgan shot just wide and then John Grant whistled a shot just wide of the upright. The home side fell further behind 10 minutes after the break following a flowing move down the left, although Hudson looked well offside before setting up an unmissable opening for Morgan to add the second. And it was Hudson who completed the rout after 81 minutes with a fierce drive from just inside the box.
