Northern Ireland boss not too down at home draw
Nigel Worthington was full of praise for his Northern Ireland side following their goalless draw with Czech Republic.
The Ulstermen's qualifying campaign started with a defeat following Saturday's 2-1 loss to Slovakia.
However, they responded with a fine display against the highly-fancied Czechs and on another day may have pulled off another one of their famous Windsor Park shocks.
"I thought we could have won it," Worthington told
Sky Sports. "I thought the performance was outstanding.
"In the first half we got the ball and played. We lost an important player (Steve Davis) before the game.
Possession
"Second half they had a bit of possession but we stood firm and held our shape. Taylor didn't have a save to make."
"You want to put up as many points as you can. The performance tonight, against the best team in the group, was excellent.
"With a little bit of the rub of the green - which we didn't get on Saturday either - we might have got three points."
Worthington, meanwhile has brushed off suggestions he is growing concerned at David Healy's goal drought.
"Dave needs some regular football to get his sharpness back. I'm not concerned about that at all," he continued.
"He's one of our heroes. The confidence will come flooding back."
