Livingston are continuing to hold talks with Kenny Miller over his potential appointment as their new player-manager, Sky Sports News understands.
The former Rangers and Scotland striker is understood to be the preferred candidate to take over at the newly-promoted club and a deal could be struck by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Miller left Ibrox when his contract expired at the end of May, and he is keen to continue his playing career, although he sees this an opportunity to also take the first step into management.
Livingston have been looking for a new manager since David Hopkin left after guiding them to promotion from the Scottish Championship.
Assistant manager David Martindale continues to oversee pre-season training.
Rangers striker Ryan Hardie joined Livingston on loan on Monday, having had a spell at the Tony Macaroni Arena in 2017/18.
