Three extra-time strikes fired Newport through to an FA Cup second-round clash with Plymouth after they beat Alfreton 4-1.

Exiles striker Rhys Healey had given County the lead but the non-league side hit back through Gibraltar international Adam Priestley.

And goals from Jordan Green, Josh Sheehan and Jazzi Barnum-Bobb in extra time were enough to end Alfreton's FA Cup dream.

The deadlock was broken in the 68th minute when Healey's cross from the right wing evaded every Newport and Alfreton player to find its way into back of the net.

Priestley headed Alfreton level six minutes later after connecting well with Kallum Mantack's cross.

But Bournemouth loanee Green's 97th-minute close-range goal, following a goalmouth scramble from a corner, put County back in front.
