Toby Alderweireld is set to be included in the matchday squad for Tottenham's trip to Brighton on Tuesday, live on Sky Sports.
The Belgium international has not been involved in any of the last three matchday squads and has not featured in the Premier League since October, with his last match coming against Rochdale in the FA Cup in February.
"Yes, Toby is going to be involved in the squad and then tomorrow I will decide if he is going to play or not," Mauricio Pochettino said.
The Spurs manager is confident his side can bounce back after their 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, adding: "After 14 games unbeaten, it was a massive, massive run for us. We played Liverpool, [Manchester] United, Arsenal, Chelsea and 14 games unbeaten I think the players deserve full credit.
"We are disappointed but not frustrated or sad because when we increased our level and showed our real quality we showed we can compete against Manchester City - the best team in England.
"That is why I am not concerned about the future, yes it was 20 minutes where we were really poor but I am not worried because I think the team competed really well."
Brighton boss Chris Hughton has dismissed suggestions Tottenham will be distracted by their upcoming FA Cup semi-final when they visit the Amex Stadium.
Hughton's side have gone four matches without a win in the Premier League, with the Seagulls 13th in the table on 35 points.
Tottenham's next game following their trip to the Amex will be against Manchester United in the last four of the FA Cup on Saturday, with Spurs seeking a first final spot since they last won the competition in 1991.
Hughton said: "I think with a club like Tottenham and where they are at the moment and the aspirations that they have, they still have the ability to finish in second place and I would imagine that is very much high on their list of priorities," said Hughton.
"Of course it's a very big game over the weekend but what you find with the top-six clubs and those that are in most of the cup competitions is that they are used to any rotation that they have, they are used to playing two games in a week.
"And they have players that can play in all of the games."
Alongside Alderweireld, Fernando Llorente is also in contention after missing the defeat to Man City due to personal reasons.
Danny Rose will miss out on Spurs' trip to the south coast as he continues his comeback from a calf injury, while Harry Winks is still in rehabilitation for an ankle injury.
Brighton boss Chris Hughton has no fresh selection concerns for Tuesday's Premier League game with Tottenham.
Seagulls midfielder Davy Propper remains unavailable as he serves the second game of a three-match suspension following his red card against Huddersfield on April 7.
Anthony Knockaert is pushing for a start, having returned from his ban as a half-time substitute in Saturday's defeat at Crystal Palace.
Tottenham were embarrassed by Man City. They got a complete runaround, bar five or 10 minutes in each half. I've never seen anything like it.
Brighton had a go against Palace, but defensively I'm not sure. I don't think they'll keep Harry Kane quiet, so I can't see anything but a Spurs win.
I think Brighton will be alright, they've just got to keep their eyes on Southampton's results.
