Jamie Redknapp joins Ed Chamberlain to preview this weekend's FA Cup semi-finals as Everton take on Manchester United before Crystal Palace face Watford.

Crystal Palace again have Yannick Bolasie, Scott Dann, Joel Ward and Joe Ledley available for Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Watford.

The quartet missed Wednesday's 2-0 Premier League defeat at Manchester United with minor injuries, but their collective availability means manager Alan Pardew has a near fully-fit squad from which to choose.

The Wembley clash is huge for the two sides who have been disappointing since the turn of the year. Palace were 6th and Watford were seventh in the Premier League on Christmas Day, but find themselves 16th and 12th respectively heading into Sunday's game.

Palace boss Pardew will be hoping to steer his side into a first FA Cup final since 1990, a game he played in for the Eagles, while Watford last made the final six years earlier.

Team news

Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur returned from an ankle ligaments injury as a second-half substitute against Manchester United on Wednesday, and is expected to again make the bench.

Palace are without only long-term absentees Marouane Chamakh, Brede Hangeland and Paddy McCarthy.

Watford will be without Nordin Amrabat for Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace. The Moroccan forward is suspended after his red card at the end of Wednesday night's 3-1 defeat at West Ham.

Boss Quique Sanchez Flores has an otherwise full-strength squad and is set to recall the likes of Allan Nyom, Ben Watson, Etienne Capoue, Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney after resting them at Upton Park.

Opta stats

This is Crystal Palace's first appearance in the FA Cup semi-final since 1995. They've been eliminated in three of their four previous semi-final appearances, the exception being in 1990 when they beat Liverpool 4-3.

Watford have reached the FA Cup semi-final for the first time since 2007. They've lost four of their five previous games at this stage, but did beat Plymouth Argyle in 1984 to reach the final.

The Hornets have scored exactly one goal in each of their five FA Cup semi-finals.

The two sides met at Wembley in 2013, with Crystal Palace beating Watford 1-0 in the Championship play-off final after extra time.

Troy Deeney scored twice in Watford's 2-1 win at Selhurst Park in the Premier League in February.

Palace have lost only two of their last 11 meetings with the Hornets in all competitions (W7 D2).

However, Watford hold the edge in the FA Cup, losing just one of the previous six FA Cup games against Palace (W3 D2). Their last meeting ended in a 4-3 in Round 4 in 2009.

The Eagles could keep four successive clean sheets in the FA Cup for the first time since 1924 if they shut Watford out in this match.

A penalty has been scored in four of the last five games between Palace and Watford (three for Palace, one for Watford).

Merson's predictions

I fancy Palace here, they've just got the edge over Watford. Deeney, who missed a penalty at West Ham, and Ighalo have gone quiet recently and confidence at the club can't be great. When the game starts to open up Palace have got more match winners for and I expect them to just edge a tight contest.

Betting

Crystal Palace are Sky Bet's 7/5 favourites to reach the FA Cup final within 90 minutes as Watford go up against odds of 2/1 while a draw and subsequent extra-time is priced at 9/4. Both sides are considered 4/1 outsiders in the outright market, with Manchester United 6/5 favourites followed by Everton at 3/1.

Odion Ighalo heads the first goalscorer market at 9/2 despite Palace's favouritism, with three of Alan Pardew's strikers, Dwight Gayle, Emmanuel Adebayor and Connor Wickham, following at 11/2 apiece.
