Central defender Andrew Davies has joined Dundee on an 18-month contract following a trial at the club.

Davies is a free agent after being released from his contract with National League club Hartlepool, despite having 18 months remaining on the deal.

The 34-year-old played under Dundee boss Jim McIntyre in a previous spell at Ross County, where he was club captain when they won the League Cup in 2016.

Davies started his career with Middlesbrough and spent time out on loan with QPR, Derby County before spells with Southampton, Stoke City, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United.
