Martin Tyler looks back on England's 1966 World Cup victory ahead of the 50th anniversary of the event

The Boys of '66, a Sky Sports documentary of England's World Cup win, airs on Monday - and Martin Tyler dropped into the Sky Sports News HQ studio to discuss the show.

The Sky Sports Originals production is part of a special double bill on January 4 - following the 90-minute programme on the finest moment in English football, there will be a Monday Night Football analysis of the final with Jamie Carragher.

In the documentary, Tyler tells the story of the tournament within the context of the era it came to define. There are interviews with key players including hat-trick hero Sir Geoff Hurst, as well as fans who were at the final, current England boss Roy Hodgson and former England captain David Beckham.

The Boys of '66 will be broadcast on Sky Sports 1 HD from 7pm on Monday, January 4, with the Monday Night Football special following immediately after at 8.30pm. Both programmes will be available On Demand until 2017.
